- Hey, I think now we should move in together since we are engaged.
- Yeah, that's a great idea, lets talk with a consultant tomorrow.
- We are wondering whether buying or renting would save us the most money in the long run
- Oh, of course let me tel you about the benefits of each.
- Well, buying a house and renting a house are 2 very different options that each have their own benefits. First of all when you are renting a house you are basically using someone else property. This way you do not have to pay for property tax or maintenance. However, you do have to pay a monthly fee that can get pretty pricey. When you buy your own house you are investing more into your future. There is a lot more freedom with buying a house, but it comes with all of the other expenses like property tax and maintenance fees. If you guys are ready to settle down and start planning for the future I would recommend buying a house, but if it is a little out of your price range and you need a couple years to get things together, then I would recommend renting a property to start out as a safer option.
