I was determined to convince my mom to let me go, because Demi's parents said yes. They still said no, but i never gave up. Every day before school Demi and I would rise as early as the sun to practice our skills for Disney to show my parents I took this seriously.

After weeks of practice, we were finally ready. We performed a dance to show my parents we were ready for the audition, and they loved it.

With my parents' permission, we went to the audition… and got hired!

From that point on, we were DIsney Channel stars. I went on to star in many popular movies and TV shows including Barney and Friends with Demi, and Wizzards of Waverly Place. I even branched off and explored a music career

In my adult years, I developed Lupus but turned it into something positive, and helped spread awareness about the autoimmune disorder. I even made a documentary about my struggles with lupus, a kidney transplant and mental health. I will forever encourage everyone around the world to never give up on following your dreams, no matter what challenges come at you.
