- Hector's hamartia is his mixed priorities.
- Hamartia
- Hector's hubris shows when he is leaving to go on tour with Ernesto Cruz. This is his hubris because Imelda not wanting Hector to leave and instead spend more time with family kind of warns Hector that he mixes his priorities or at least shows that he does.
- Hubris
- Hector's peripeteia would be where hector finally decides to go back home to his family but because of how close him and Ernesto were to being famous Ernesto gets upset and secretly puts poison in Hector's drink that Ernesto wanted him to have in honor to say goodbye. And soon after Hector starts to go to the train to leave he falls and then dies.

- Hector's anagnorisis is when he comes to get Miguel he runs into Ernesto and they start to talk and catch up but then Miguel mentions his favorite part in the movie and Hector realizes it is exactly like the night he had died and tried to go home. Hector then figures out Ernesto killed him with poison and gets mad at Ernesto.

- Hector's memisis could be where if he didn't mix up his top priorities then he would have been able to spend more time with his family before he died and even maybe been able to watch his daughter grow up.

- Hector's cathrarsis would be where we are seeing the emotional connection with him and his family and being able to experience with him how much he loved them but also wanted to pursue his dream. And it did make many people emotional.
