- Sir Gawain takes the challenge and cuts the green knights head off.
- The green knight leaves
- In one year time I will return the swing
- The green knight challenges them to a game. If they cut his head off and he doesn't die then he has to return the favor.

- The king told him for everyday he was there he had to give him something in return.
- The green knight take his turn to cut Sir Gawain's head off but only scratch's it due to his good doings and loyalty as a knight.
- The green knight tell him he didn't kill him because his loyalty to his chivalry as a knight.
