Kids, let's help DNA polymerase pair up the nitrogeneous bases Adenine to Thymine, and Cytosine to Guanine

WIth the help of the students, DNA polymerase was able to attach the nucleotides

But then, a lagging error occured

I can't add any nucleotides onto the ladder, there must be an error! We need someone who we can fix this!

Error Analysis


The DNA strands aren't parallel because of the lagging strand. We cannot add nucleotides in a 5 to 3 direction, because the lagging strand is going in the opposite direction.
