- Once upon a time the Sun and the Moon married each other, they had plethora of children who were the stars around them. The Sun was so much into his children, but, whenever he tried to get in touch with any of them, he was so hot that he could easily burn them up. This made the Moon so angry that she frantically forbid her husband to touch them again, and the Sun came into a deep grieve and melancholy.
- When the Moon left tocollect vegetables from the jungle, she asked the Sun to guard their sleepingchildren. She also warned him to stay a safe distance away from the babies,since his heat would burn them.
- One day the Moon went down to the spring to do some washing, and when she left she told the sun that he must not touch any of their children in her absence. The Sun came into contact with his children and that was when things get kind of ugly and he started to melt their children.

- The Sun kept closewatch over the children. But he was overcome with affection for them, andwanted to kiss them goodnight. He forgot the Moon’s warning, leaned over thebabies, and they melted beneath him.
