- Lombard: The island's more or less a bare rock. We shall make short work of searching it. We'll soon ferret out U.N Owen.
- Chapter 7: Lombard and Armstrong discuss the two deaths on the island (Tony Marston and Mrs.Rogers). They come to realize Mr.Owens is on the island.
- Chapter 10: Rogers is drawing all the curtains in the house while a storm is occurring outside. The bathroom curtain is gone missing.
- "We'd better rope in Blore to help us"
- Dr.Armstrong: You realize-the man must be a raving maniac!
- "Dr.Armstrong said warningly:He'll be dangerous".
- General Macarthur: "There is so little time-so little time. I really must insist nobody disturbs me... You don't understand at all. Please go away."
- Chapter 8: The guests discover Lombard carries a revolver. General Macarthur is seen as going mad.
- Chapter 11: Rogers is found dead.
- Blore: "We won't disturb you. We're just making a tour of the island so to speak. Just wondered , you know, if someone might be hiding on it"

- Chapter 9: General Macarthur is dead.
- Chapter 9: All of the guests are capable of being the murderer of the island.
- Chapter 12: Emily Brent is dead
- Dr.Armstrong: No question of heart failure or anything like that. Macarthur was killed by a blow to the back of the head
- Judge: "I reiterate my positive belief that of the sevens persons assembled in this room one is a dangerous and probably insane criminal"
- Rogers said nervously: Excuse me, sir, but does anyone know what's become of the bathroom curtain?
- Lombard said: And it's gone?
- Blore said heavily: "Well after all, what of it? It's mad, but so is everything else."
- Armstrong: "The murderer must have crept up behind him, swung the chopper once and brought it down on his head as he was bending over."
- "Vera stooped to the wig. "Miss Brent's missing grey wool"

- Chapter 13: Wargrave is found dead. All murders up to this point aligns with the ten little soldiers poem.
- Blore said: "And the scarlet curtain that was missing from the bathroom"

- I brought a hypodermic syringe. It is missing from my possession.
- Armstrong: That's the mark of a hypodermic syringe
- Armstrong: "He's been shot. Got him through the head."
- Ten little soldiers....................................................................................Five little Soldier Boys going in for law; One got in Chancery and then there were four.
