Lizzie wanted no one to find out what’s in her sack, but her luck ran out and she dropped the cans. So, Lina grabbed them and questioned her since she was suspicious of her. I think this scene is important because Lina and Doon go to the storerooms after Lina had seen what was in Lizzie’s sack. That is where Looper stole the cans and gave them to Lizzie.
The last moment
Where is she? I'm getting worried.. :(
In this chapter, Lina comes across somebody that’s about to help a lot, Clary. They both run into Qais while walking and the three of them make their way to Mrs. Murdo's place. Clary deciphers the majority of the words while Qais pointlessly agrees with her. I think this scene is important because the instructions lead to the way out of Ember and Lina and Clary solve the majority of the words.
Refugees of Ember
In this chapter, Lina and Doon go to the pipeworks where they find the rock marked with “E”, candles, matches, a ladder as a way to get down the riverbank, etc. They really wanted to find the way out. I think this scene is important because they’re finally figuring out the exit of Ember!
The outer world
Doon grabs his pack and heads to the Pipeworks at 3:20 p.m, he's worried about Lina and wanted to go, but he knows he has to run. As a result, he was waiting impatiently, wanting to see Lina, and required to remain there as the lights go out. Lina appears out of nowhere, bringing someone with her, Poppy. I think that this scene is important because it represents Doon, Lina, and Poppy's final moments in Ember.
Lina, Doon, and Poppy discover many things in this chapter that they have never seen before and that they have always wanted to see. They see and hear the moon, the sun, birds, trees, grass, and a fox. I think this scene is important because they are finally experiencing new things.
Wow! Look!
That thing looks amazing!
Lina and Doon discover a crack and realize Ember is actually underground, but they couldn't go back to Ember. So, they decide to drop a note with the directions to the way out. As Mrs. Murdo was walking in the Square, she notices a note in front of her. I think that this scene is important because Mrs. Murdo, and possibly everyone in ember, would be informed of the way out.
