  • Nurse 2: Yes Dr she is right and we really need to inform or notify the minister about the increase of monkeypox in the community.
  • Nurse 1: Dr, I have just received results from the lab and they confirm the diagnosis of M.pox and its adding to the numbers we already have.
  • Dr: Thank you colleagues, our cases have gone up to 2000 and we need to notify the minister and mayor about it.

  • Minister: We need to gather a team of public health specialist to conduct a study and give us more insight, progress on this matter but in the meantime we'll address the community of safe measures and that we're working tireless to give them solid information. 
  • Mayor: We have a serious issue on our hands then, the public will be asking question and we need inform or address the
  • Dr: Minister Mayor, we have serious problem crippling our community with the rise in numbers, now 2000 confirmed cases of M.poxy

  • Minister: Fellow Citizen, we have seen an unprecedented rise in cases of Monkey pox virus. M.pox belongs to the group of smallpox with less severe symptoms and can be spread through close contact. We have tasked a team of specialist to research more and provide us with more details and possible vaccines.
  • Mayor: Thank you Minister, we urge all of you to remain calm and avoid direct contact with each other. If you notice symptoms of rash, please report to your Dr immediately. Thank and we revert back with more information.

  • PH2: Yes minister she is correct but we need to also gain more insight, perceptions and/or feeling from Spring community on the disease. We could do this through interviews, focus group or observation.

  • Minister: Dear citizens of Springville, we've received feedback from specialist team and it is noted that Mpox virus cases are increasing mostly in adults than kids. Mpox vaccine is also available and we will be available to curb the spread of infection.
  • The minister addresses citizens of increased number of cases and the availability of vaccine approved by FDA ( food and drug administration)The mayor assist the minister by pleading to the community to cooperate with official so to curb the spread.

  • My kids are not vaccinated(childhood immunisation) and they have been health why now? I can't get my kids sick, no ways!
  • Google says, it takes 10 years to develop a vaccine... how did the governemnt manage to develop theirs in 6 months?
  • What if i lose my manhood? have they tested it? does it even work? do they know the side effects of this vaccine?
  • The community of Springville sharing and/or debating their views on the vaccine rollout. Some concerned about safety efficacy of the vaccine and some have never believed in vaccination. Religion is also another concern with man worried about their manhood after taking the vaccine .

  • Nurse 2: Dr it seems like we're going to have a problem with vaccinating people, have heard their views?
  • Dr: Yes i have heard their view but our public health team need to come in place and we draft posters of facts about the vaccine benefits and risks.
  • PH1: Yes we have placed public health posters everywhere and people are optimistic about vaccination though some are still hesitant. We will conduct another study to monitor the progress of vaccine rollout.

  • PH1: After we have rolled out the vaccine, public health posters about monkey pox vaccine and health awareness/promotion. A retrospective cohort study was conducted.
  • PH2: Yes, we have managed to vaccinate at least 65% of Springville, 12% need to return for dose completion and 23% still undecided, however a notable improvement as the number of infection continues to decline after vaccine rollout.We have submitted the report to the minister and the mayor.
