Sugar Act 1764
Sons of Liberty 1765
Boston Massacre 1770
Boston Tea Party 1773
Intolerable Acts 1774
Declaration and Resolves 1775
This event was very big leading up to the Revolution. They were starting to use violence against the British because of all the taxes. They started protests because of all the taxes getting out of hand. They did not want to pay all the taxes. They started to stop buying all the British goods that cost a lot.
The British Soldiers shot at the the Colonists and 5 laid deadThe colonists were angry at the British and they were yelling at the soldiers. The colonists were very mad at the soldiers for the taxes and they throw rocks at the soldiers. One rock hit a soldier and he fired. Then the the kept shooting because they were in panic. 5 colonists laid dead and many more were injured. This event made the colonists furious and I think it was one of the best things that lead to the revolution.
The colonists snuck onto a British ship and dumped300 chests of Tea into the OceanWhen the colonist snuck into the ship they found the tea and just started throwing them off the ship and into the water. The reason they did was that they were getting taxed when the Tea act came out so this was their revenge. This event made the British angry because it wasted a ton of here money. The colonists were very mad too because their taxes kept on coming at them. The tension was very high between them already and this just lit the fire between them.
The Intolerable Acts were very important leading up to the Independence of the colonists. The acts were supposed to be punishing types of laws because of what the colonists did to their tea. They closed the Boston Harbor from any other ships that are not British ships. The acts were trying to make the colonists buy their stuff instead of other sellers that are cheaper. The acts worked in a way. The colonists just kept on getting mad and the British were too.

This event was very important leading up to the Revolution because they was a debate between the two sides of what was right and wrong. The colonists were arguing that they had no right to be taxed this much or at all. They also argued that blocking of the harbor is wrong to. They also wanted to know why everybody did not have the same amount of rights. This was a huge event because after this event the war started.
