In Sudan, my team and I were a bit scared due to the Civil War that's been on and off for 20 years! Civilians in Sudan were very happy though, we also visited Meroe (a place with black pyramid ruins)!
In the deserts in Sudan, we saw a HUGE camel market!
In Egypt we were told that our very small raft, we were told that there was no way we were going to survive Lake Nasser and that night, a huge wind storm hit and we were very anxious. Other then that, we saw temples and the city of Cairo as well!

Pasqualle had Malaria at the time, but he fought through, we went through the river, seeing ancient nileometers which were used to measure the level of the Nile. We were still admiring the view when we noticed we have arrived at the Mediterranean Sea!
Mediterranean Sea
In the end, the trip was 300 miles long and 114 days which is about 4 months. I learned that when something seems impossible, itisnot. My favorite part was visiting the City of Cairo and my least favorite part was getting flipped in the white water.
