It was Christmas Eve, a day that Emily loved, but this one felt different. She was not sure why, but she was building a snow woman and was excited about how it was going to come out.
After Emily finished her snow woman, she name her Katrina and went inside. She set her presents for her whole family, including her cat and dog under the tree. She was tucked into bed, but couldn't sleep. She went to her window to check on Katrina.
She saw the weirdest thing, Katrina's head was turned to the side, as though she was looking at the snowman next door that her new neighbor had built!
Emily then heard something and looked out her door. She saw the cat and dog meowing and barking out jingle bells. She saw her angel choir come to life, and in the kitchen she saw mice making Christmas pies!
When she went into the living room she saw the stockings jump down from the fireplace and bounce around. She saw the presents around the tree start dancing. Then she heard a sound from outside.
When she looked outside, she saw the two snowmen turning into real people! And they started dancing. Then she heard a knock on the door, and there they were, Katrina and the snowman, and they all danced together!
As the night turned into morning, Emily went inside and fell asleep in the living room. When she was awoken she asked if the mice finished the pies. Her parents told her she must have had a great dream. She knew there was only one way to know. She went outside and saw both snowmen together! The boy next door was there too, he asked how his snowman ended up all the way over there. Emily whispered to him, "It was the Christmas magic!"
