A wounded soldier tells King Duncan what good Macbeth has done. In return, the king gives him a traitor's land, and names him a lord. 3 witches tell Macbeth he will become king. He is confused of this.
Banquo seems suspicious! We must get rid of him!
Why am I not happy?
When Lady Macbeth hears about his chance of becoming king, she takes it. She is no saint. She has a plan: Kill Duncan, and blame it on the guards. She tricks Macbeth into doing it.
No one born of a woman shall harm you. You shall not lose unless the forest comes to you.
Macbeth kills Duncan in his sleep, and Lady Macbeth cleans up the mess. They blame it on the guards. Everyone blames the king's sons, who have run.
This is what happens to traitors! Long live King Malcolm!
Macbeth starts killing anyone who he thinks is finding out his secret. Even his friend Banquo. Even though they are the rulers, they are still not happy.
Macbeth visits witches, who inform him of events to come, just not fully explaining them, tricking Macbeth. Lady Macbeth goes nuts, and jumps of the building, killing herself.
The forest starts moving, just like the witches predicted, and Macbeth knows he is not safe. He fights Macduff, and loses, costing him his head. Malcolm, the king's son, becomes the new king.
