Joan of Arc or Jeanne d'Arc was a french peasant born in 1412 CE in the small town of Domremy,Lorraine to Jaques d'Arc a farmer and a officiate of the town and Isabelle Romee. She grew up working on her father's farm and maintaining and tending to it and it's animals as well learned to sew and to sew clothes from her mother Isabelle and was also very religious and devoted to God and Christ.She was very caring for others and kind to them for instance givig food to them when they were sick or taking care of animals.Joan was 12 or 13 when she had her first vision from heaven which included Michael the Archangel and had more after that from other saints and angles including saint Catherine of Alaxandria.
In 1429/29 CE Joan after listening to her visions slipped out of her village and went to a nearby town where she went to see the garrison commander and told him that she needed an escort so she could get to Charles. He refused to accept her request and told Joan to go home to which she replied by coming back twice with her followers which caused the garrison commander to give up and accept her demand and gave her some of his soldiers to escort her. She also cut her hair and dressed to look like a man.
After crossing through Burgundian territory Joan the city of Chinon to go and tell the Dupont de Charles VII about her visions from heaven that she had experienced and that they had told her to lead the French in battle against the English and to help liberate France from them. Charles had her tried and examined to determine that she was virtous and that her visions had come from god and from heaven. Charles granted Joan's request afterward and allowed her to join the military and gave her a suit and armor and other fighting equipment and sent her with reinforcements and supplies to the besieged city of Orleans.
Not only did Joan bring supplies and reinforcements to the city but also a new sense of hope and determination and by May 1429, Joan and the rest of the French defenders pushed the English back from the city and opened the gateway to Northern France and saved Charles VII. Her fame excelled far and beyond and her visions were proven to have truly come from god and heaven.
Not long after Joan had defeated and repulsed the English at Orleans she attended the crowning of Dupont de Charles VII which took place on July 17th, 1429 in Reims ,France.
On May 30th, 1431 in Rouen,France Joan of Arc was burned at the stake for being a witch and heretic for wearing men's clothing along with having fought in battle and after she was captured and tried after her battle at Compiegne despite her having done nothing else worthy of being burnt. She forgave her accusers as witnesses said and aked them to pray for her. She was only 19 at the time of her death.
