The first scene at the top of the panel is the first day of 8th grade. Claudia is nervous but is looking forward to talking to Monday. When Claudia arrives at school and Monday is nowhere to be found she starts to stress. Monday loves school and would never miss a day, especially the first. Before she leaves the car Claudia asks her mom if she sees Monday anywhere. Her mom brushes her off unaware of the fact that Monday is Claudia's only friend. On the bottom part of the panel this scene is about Claudia not talking or seeing Monday for months.

In this scene Claudia has been put into a class that will help her with school. It has been discovered that she has dyslexia so she is finally getting the help she needs. She has also gotten a tutor who turns out to be Michael's grandma, a boy from her church. She is still searching for Monday but has no luck. No one seems to realize that Monday has disappeared. Claudia is starting to get frustrated but reassures herself that she will find Monday.

In this scene it shows the police right outside Mrs. Charles's home. A commotion has started so more and more neighbors are coming out to see what's the matter. No one except Clauaia hears a buzzing though. It is later revealed that Monday and August have been found.

In this panel Claudia is talking to April about what happened with Monday and August, since she can now recall everything. Claudia also explains that she can still hear the buzzing of the freezer. Pushing that thought aside she asks April what she's going to do after everything. April explains her plan and tells Claudia that she is now living with her aunt. April is worried about what will happen to Tuesday, her little sister, after she goes to court, fearing that if she goes to jail that Tuesday will end up in foster care. Neither of them can look the other in the eye as the memories of the incident are still too fresh.
