- Our communist goals can only be met if we establish a party of our own which is the Communist Party of Germany
- Lets start a rebellion to overthrow the weimar government , with the party established , we can definitely have control of the government
- 5 January 1919

- The spartacists put up red flags around town to symbolise communism
- COMMUNISM IS THE WAY TO GO

- Meanwhile in the Weimar Government Headquarters
- put an end to the rebellion, dispatch the Freikorps!
- General Erbert ! The Spartacists are conducting a rebellion as we speak !

- The Communist party of Germany felt that they needed to combine and form one party to be able to be strong enough to overtake and overthrow the Weimar Government
- 5 January 1919

- The spartacists formed a revolutionary committee and put up red flags around the town square to symbolise communism and took control of public buildings
- 10th January 1919
- Death to the Spartacists!!
- The Spartacists are defeated !!!
- General Friedrich Erbert ordered the dispatch of the Freikorps to counter the Spartacist and to regain
- 11 January 1919

- Both Rosa Luxemburg and Karl Liebknecht found in a apartment in Berlin-Wilmersdorf and later murdered by guards
- The strike was declared on January the fifth and the standofff between the Freikorps and Spartacists lasted for 5 days

- 5 days later , the Spartacist rebellion was brought to an end with ease as the Freikorps had leftover equipment and ammunition from fighting in World War 1 and had the logistical advantage
- Both Luxemburg and Karl Liebknecht were found in an apartment in Berlin-Wilmersdorf and was arrested by the Freikorps but as murdered in prison by guards
