Abigail and the Other Girl: Abby, you musn't!!!

Mary Warren: Abby, you

musn't!!!!!

Bandwagon:

he girls started to repeat everything that Mary Warren was saying because Abigail Williams was repeating everything Mary Warren was saying. Abigail was creating hysteria in the courtroom to distract from her being questioned.

Hathorne: Then can she pretend to faint now?

Proctor: She can only pretend to faint!

Hasty Generalization: Hathorne and Parris assume that because Proctor said Mary Warren pretended to faint, that hse can faint anytime. They also assume that the reason she fainted was because there were witches in the room. (page 1329)

Parris: Why not? There are no spirits attacking her, for no one in this room is accused of witchcraft

Cheever: I think it is my duty, sir. You’ll not deny it, John. When we come to take his wife, he damned the court and ripped your warrant.

Straw Man:

This is an example of straw man because Cheever is bringing up Proctor ripping the warrant when that doesn’t have significance to when Proctor is trying to defend himself. Cheever is stirring the pot because when Proctor rips the warrant that does not hae relevance to being truthful.
