  • the long migration is when the Aztecs went searching for there new home has their god gave them a sign to cut down a tree that sign told them they had to find a new home, after a long migration they saw a eagle on top of a cactus and the eagle holding a snake this was a sign form there god Huitzilopotchli the god who lead them to the land of their destiny.

  • Human scarifies is when the Aztecs bring there enemies they faught up on top of an altar. They part iced human sacrifice has they believed the world was created through human sacrifice. And they believed if they never did human scar fie then the earth would dry up and the sun and moon and plants and stars would not be able to travel across the sky.

  • Chinampas are pieces of land that helped grow food such as corn wheat fruits etc these land helped there life easy and farming easy . they got watered by the causeways so when water came to the people it would also water the crops.

  • the valley of mexico is surrounded by mountains and land those mountains were considered to bring them closer to there gods and give them a sense of security. the valley of mexico is also surrounded by lake Texaco and many swampy lakes.

  • Teotihuacan is an advanced city that has town squares , streets , canals for drainage. the Teotihuacan people copied some aspects of there religion form the Aztec people and they copied there layout of there city.

  • The Olmec people are the original meso american society and considered the mother culture the Olmec where known for there big huge stone sculptures that were the shape of heads. these sculptures had big lips ,baby faces , and pear shaped heads often these sculptures weighted 30 tons. they lived in an area called Olmec it was an area that was parallel to the gulf of mexico and now its called Veracruz.
