I was once a slave, but then I got sent to Illinois, while I was in Illinois, I learned a lot about the North and the country. Abolitionists would fight back against the south for making people like us become slaves. If the abolitionists can fight against the south, that means I can also do that too, but I wonder how everyone would respond to that?
I will make a case, I will sue the supreme court to make sure I can walk free, and so can the others. After I left Illinois back to Missouri, I met my wife and I began to sue the courts for our freedom, It did not go well the first time, but the second time, people heard about me. On the second trial, it went a lot better than I expected because my brothers from the North came to my defense and supported my claims.
So I wrote and wrote and wrote, getting every law, every advantage I could in order to sue for me and my wife's freedom, I do believe after I write this and speak it in front of the court. I will show the supreme court, that a man shall be free for speaking powerfully just like everyone else should.
Then my biggest case happened, I ended up in the supreme court because my second trial was famous enough for me to end up there
Even though I had high, valid points about slavery and why it was wrong, The supreme court would not listen to me and gave in favor of Sanford, They say that there are no laws letting a black man sue anybody for anything even for their freedom.
