I, Rav Safra, am saying in the name of R' Yehoshuah Ben Chananya that in the posuk וְשִׁנַּנְתָּ֣ם לְבָנֶ֔יךָ וְדִבַּרְתָּ֖ בָּ֑ם בְּשִׁבְתְּךָ֤ בְּבֵיתֶ֙ךָ֙ וּבְלֶכְתְּךָ֣ בַדֶּ֔רֶךְ וּֽבְשׇׁכְבְּךָ֖ וּבְקוּמֶֽךָ׃, we should replace the word וְשִׁנַּנְתָּ֣ם with וְשִׁלַּשְׁתָּם.
The reason why I say this is because one should divide his years into 3, one section learning Torah, another for learning Mishnah and one more learning Talmud.
What it means is that one should divide there day into 3 not his years!
But who knows how long they are going to live for?
There used to be these people who were called Sofrim who knew where verything was in the Tanach and everything else.
For e.g they would know where the middkle letter if the Torah was which is a Vov, the middle letter of Tehillim which is Ayin.
But hold on, is the Vov on one side of the Torah or another?
But we are not experts!!!!
You know what let's bring a Sefer Torah and count the letters.
Also there are different versions of the Torah and words have been changed.
Fine but then let's check the pesukim if not the letters as it wont make a difference.
But we still can't count the pesukim be cuase remember when Rav Acha bar Ada went to Israel he noticed how the posuk וַיֹּאמֶר ה' אֶל מֹשֶׁה הִנֵּה אָנֹכִי בָּא אֵלֶיךָ בְּעַב הֶעָנָן is divided into 3. That means we cant count the pesukim as some Sefer Torahs hacve it as one long posuk.
