- The last Romanov ruler of Russia was Nicholas II. He did not live up to the expectations of Russia. He failed to solve Russia's basic economic, political, and social problems. The government was helpless because the troops refused to fire on the demonstrators.

- Alexander III died and his son assumes throne. he becomes one of the worst ones. He couldn't help the Russians at all because he was broke. He was an weak and ineffective ruler.

- On January 22, 1905 there was a tragedy of 13 unarmed civil right demonstrators died on that day. They were protesting were marching against the Russia's policy and the internment of suspected Irish nationalists. State troopers and county posse-men attacked them while they were unarmed and they were armed with billy clubs and tear gas.

- After Austria-Hungary declares war against Serbia. Then Russia heard about this and had to help Serbia because they were alliances and couldn't break that so they decided they would help Serbia in the war. Right after Serbia was in war the Germans Decided to declare war on Russia.

- workers and soldiers were going on strike because they were working way to many hours. they were also not getting paid enough for this. they also want better working conditions. The students because of dissatisfaction in their work, so that turned into despair.Now they were sympathetic to any radical ideas.
