- The US bought Louisiana for 15 million dollars and doubled the size of the United States. The United States felt more powerful with more land.

- Phillip Nolan was a trader and a freebooter he ethier traded horses or stole them. Phillip Nolan died in 1801 and was killed by the Spanish.
- Gutierrez de Lara was an advocate for Mexico's independence and had the Battle of Medina. Gutierrez led an invasion of texas in 1812 - 1813.
