In the Legend of Taga, it starts off in the island of Guam, where Taga was born. When Taga grew up to 3 years old, his father, the chief of Guam, saw him digging underneath a coconut tree, attempting to catch a crab.
I'm the chief of Guam and Taga's Father
My name is Taga!
Guam
FATHER PLEASE DON'T KILL ME
Out of excitement, Taga pulls the coconut tree off of the ground. The chief, shocked by his son's strength, got jealous about him being stronger than him. So he tries to kill Taga, but he overhears his father's statement. Scared of dying, he ran all the way to a cliff, with nowhere to go. But, he instead jumps off the cliff and onto the island of Luta.
Come back here boy! I am the strongest in Guam, and I will not let you take that away from me! I will kill you!
Years pass, and Taga grows up and becomes more powerful than he was before. Living on Rota, he needed a home, so he decides to...
I am the strongest person, stronger than my father! I will build a house bigger than anyone else's house!
So that is what he does. He gathers many stones on the northern end of Rota to make latte, or house supports.
But something bad happens and he had to abandon his build, leaving it unfinished up to this day
Taga marries a woman from Rota and they had a daughter. One day, he decided to take his family to Tinian, where they would be greeted by the people of Tinian and their chief. The chief of Tinian decided to test Taga's strength, so he gives Taga challenges, all of which he completes easily and once completes his challenges, he is now made chief of Tinian.
Hahaa! I am indeed the most powerful man in this island!
Wow! You are very powerful. I cannot compete against you my friend. You deserve the title as chief of this island!
Many years has passed, Taga is still chief of Tinian, and he and his wife now have 12 children. But something tragic happened. On a coconut tree was another crab underneath it, and a similar situation with Taga and his father happened with Taga and his son, but this time, he killed his son. His family started falling apart, his wife died of a broken heart, then out of anguish, his youngest daughter, grieving for her mother, killed Taga for revenge, but later died of a broken heart as well.
