  • Good Afternoon, Is this the stop for the #10 trolley?
  • Sure is, you can wait with us if you like!
  • My name is Sedimentary Rock, nice to meet you!
  • You're kidding me, I'm a rock too, I'm Metamorphic Rock!
  • What are the odds? I'm Igneous Rock!
  • We are the three different types of rock! ROCK ON! Let's share where we came from!
  • That's impressive!
  • Well, weathering and erosion is a natural force that causes pieces of rock to break off into smaller sediments caused by wind & water. Then the pieces are carried away & gathered which is called deposition. Compaction and cementation bind these sediments with pressure and Earth's elements, especially water. So, here I am, Sedimentary Rock!
  • I've known a few Sedimentary Rock in my time! That's awesome!
  • I came from the process called Metamorphoses. That happened when other rocks suffer intense heat and pressure. When magma can't get to the Earth's surface it starts changing sediments and materials that are close enough to feel the heat. You guys could of been metamorphosis too, if you were deep enough in the Earth.
  • Whoa, I could of been just like you!
  • Wow, that's cool!
  • So, beneath the Earth’s crust is liquid magma, I traveled through a volcano in my process. Once, the liquid hot magma makes itself above ground and does some cooling and hardens over time, there I was Igneous Rock . Metamorphose and sedimentary rock can become igneous rock by melting and hardening although it’s very rare occurrence.
  • Trolley is here, where are we headed?
  • Rocky Road, of course!
