Because the lion was now dead the girls cried and cried. Even though they were still in danger from the Witch they wanted to mourn for their friend and savior. It was a tragic death. The girls cried until they could not cry any more then they cried again. The night grew colder and colder by the second for the kind ladies. But to sad to notice.
They were still crying but then they saw mice crawling up the lion. At first Susan was trying to scare them but Lucy said not to. Then they took a closer look, they saw that the mice were chewing of the net. When the mice left the girls moved the little pieces of net. The girls were so cold that they decided to take a walk.
"Crack!" The girls herd a lout crack coming from the direction of the table and the lion. They ran to see what had happened and they saw that the table had a huge crack in it and the lion was not dead. Susan and Lucy were so happy. But how and why did the stone table crack? Well now there is more magic, the stone table cracked because if someone is killed for no reason and is doing good then the stone table will crack and death will go backwards.
