Roxy is about to perform her presentation of how the rock cycle works that she has been working on for the past two weeks. She is currently failing the class and this is her last chance to make an A before the school year ends!
Alright, looks like our next to student who will be demonstrating their topic will be... Roxy!
I am going to be explaining how the rock cycle works.
Roxy's performance begins.
GO ROXY!!!
Sedimentary rock and erosion.
These are sediments. They break apart from a rock and go tumbling down towards the ground. They then get packed tightly together into layers.
Erosion, this is moving the rock to a new area. It can help bring the sediments towards the ocean.
Roxy explains to her class how sedimentary rock forms. She also explains how erosion can help sediments get to the ocean.
Roxy believes she is doing a great job but then she looks over at her teacher. She is writing something down and not even paying attention to Roxy's presentation.
Deposition
This is known as deposition. The sediments have traveled through a river and are now sinking to the bottom of the ocean where they will stay.
