Well, I get where you're coming from Sally, but let's not forget about the negative effects of globalization either. The Europeans were not the most respectful in their takeover of lands.

I totally see the benefit of global trade. I cannot imagine what our world might be like now if those exchanges had not happened.

Yes, that is true, the negatives were pretty substantial. Think about this though, due to Africa having a large export of salt they were able form more smaller states with more ports. It helped the economy do to them being able to make coins with the large amounts of gold they were acquiring.

But what about the Trans-Saharan being one of the main routes of enslaved people.

And due to Europe's large demand of enslaved people from Africa caused its economy and kingdoms to crash.

Thats true but due to the enslaved people they shaped the east coast's economy into what it is today.

WOW, that's a lot of people taken from their home continent. But the entire world thrived of the sacrifices made by the enslaved people. The world wouldn't be as advanced if it wasn't for them.

Thats understandable but it was estimated that there was 20 million enslaved people taken from Africa.

Yes, but the demand caused Portuguese merchants to start kidnapping and enslaving people from Africa.

What a terrible thing to do. But this happening aided Europe into the creation of sugar farm plantations.

True, but it caused the Kongo Kingdom to collapse.

Yes, sadly the kingdom did collapse, but if it wasn't for trading one-tenth of China's grain was from the Colombian Exchange of corn.

I completely understand what you're coming from. The world wouldn't be where it's at today if it wasn't for trade. I just wish we could've done it without the sacrifices.

Yes, I also with that we could've gotten to where we are today without so many sacrifices. But ultimately the outcome was greater than the sacrifices.
