- Hillary bought a skateboard at 40% off the regular price. The discount on the skateboard was 18$. What was the regular price of the skateboard??
- Yes you may!But one problem.I recently sold one for 40% off, and forgot the regular price.So Lets do find it.

- I used the system Math. Make a table, add in given numbers, test the pattern, and help find unknown numbers. I put 100% because it is the total. then I put 40% there because all percentages go on that side. Then I put x for the total amount of dollars and 18$ because money is on that side.

- You will now continue math, and do 18 x 100 because of the cross multiplication, then you get 1,800 then divide it by 40 and get 45
- so as you can see the system math works. For example, since I had a percentage problem, therefore I know to do the system Math, and I got the answer correct!!! This system also helps you because you know what to do since it is already telling you, for example, I knew to add given numbers.
- Adding on to find the places in a table when you have percentages, you must 100 % is always in the total, so at the bottom corner.Then you know the side 100% is on you must put another percentage unless it is being found. You then put non-percentages on the other side unless one of them is being found, and that is how you do it.
