- Della and Jim are in the living room. Thinking of gifts for Christmas. It was christmas Eve. Della has One dollar and eighty seven cents and sixty cents was pennies.
- Climax
- Jim bought Della some combs for her hair. Jim sold his watch to buy her the combs. Della was still trying to earn enough money she still has $1.87 cents. Della left home to go do something to get more money.
- Falling action
- Della was thinking of ways to raise more money. She decided to get her hair cut off so she can get money. Della was wishing jim would still love her.
- Resolution
- When della got home that christmas day Jim asked her what she did to her hair. Della asked if he liked it adn he said yes. Della was ready for gifts they started opening their gifts.
- Della got combs but it was not very usefull because she got rid of her hair. Jim got a watch chain but it was not usefull either because he got rid of his watch to buy della combs.
- That same day they both relized chirtsmas is not about gifts its about love and the christ.
