- When Maine was going to be added to the Union, the congress began to debate on what they would do with Missuris stand on slavery.
- I just don't want the Union to fall apart.
- That is fine, but isn't missuri in the 36, 30 line.
- It's going to remain a slave state
- It was later decided that Maine would be an anti slave state and Missouri would become a slave state. In addtion all states north of the 36, 30 line would be free from slavery.
- Great that will satisfy the south!
- We should add California as a free State,
- This is a good compromise, to balance both sides of the Union.
- We should to please the Norht! We should also add New Mexico, Utah, territorries to decide if they are free states or not.
- It did not go well at all. This Act ended up resulting in the bloody civil war of Kansas, known as Bloody Kansas.
- I have designed this bill, that will split the American Heartland, into two territories. They will be Nebraska and Kansas
- That is fine, but lets just hope that that goes well with Pro-Slavers and Anti-Slavers.
