- Don't nobody yell. Just back up slow and quietly to the ladder and climb up to the loft.
- In this scene, Lyddie and her family are eating breakfast, Lyddie is cooking oatmeal and tells her family that it is almost ready. Outside of the cabin there is a hungry bear that smells the oatmeal, and wants to eat it.

- The bear finds an open door and ventures into the house, Lyddie's family is not expecting this, so they are terrified.
- Person vs. Nature
- The bear in this scene scares Lyddie and her family. Then Lyddie orders her family to go back up to the loft.
- Person vs. Nature
- YAAAAYYYYYY FOR LYDDIE
- The rest of them go up to the loft, while Lyddie stays down. She faces the bear with confidence.
- Lyddie scares the bear off with her intimidating gaze, and her fearsome posture.
- Everyone is very happy, and they celebrate Lyddie's victory against the bear.
