- My little cousin, Conner, and I said goodbye to my mom before going to my other cousins' house on the other side if the woods
- Don't worry Mom! I know these woods like the back of my hand!
- Be safe kids! Miles make sure that Conner doesn't get hurt and don't get lost.
- Are you sure you know where we are going?
- My little cousin was scared that we would get lost and not be able to get back but I was confident that I knew the exact way to get to my cousins' house.
- Yes Conner. I've done this a million times.
- Did we just turn around?
- The path started to get confusing and inconsistent but we were still on track.
- That is just how the path is. It has a lot of weird turns and paths that can be confusing.
- I'm not going to lie Conner, I have no idea which way to go.
- We reached a split in the path and I was unsure as to which way we go so we guessed.
- Oh no! Lets just take the left path.
- I realized that the direction that we went was wrong once we reached a pond. I also did not have my phone on me which prevented me from communicating to anyone else that we were lost.
- We are lost.
- I left my phone at the house.
- No! We can't be lost! You have your phone, right?
- I realized that we can just follow the path back to the split and go the other direction which should take us the correct way.
- We can just go back the way we came except we take the other path.
- Okay. But you better not mess up this time.
