  • "You said you weren't gonna wear the dress
  • "Now we're wearing the same dress"
  • "But you said you weren't gonna wear it"
  • "Ironic"
  • Inference
  • This chick is gonna hate this hairstyle, everyone person who i've gave this hairstyle to has always came back and said they hate it and it's to hard to manage
  • Analogy
  • "Finding the keys to my tractor is like trying to find a needle in a haystack"
  • Definition of Irony- Something being ironic would be like something that you least expect to happen, actually happen. Although theres multiple types of irony: situational, verbal, and dramatic. This example shows a situational ironny.
  • Allusion
  • "If I'm not home by midnight, my car might just turn into a pumpkin."
  • Definition of Inference- An educated guess. You can infer C because you know A and B. The hairdresser can infer that the client won't like the hair style because of clients inthe past.
  • Motivation
  • I can finially kill the queen for killing everyone in my village including my family
  • Definition of Analogy- Comparing A to B to get a better understanding of A. The person is comparing trying to find his tractor keys to trying to find a needleina haystack.
  • Foreshadowing
  • Definition of Allusion- A reference to a famous person, place, thing, or event to describe something. Not to get mixed up with an analogy. The example is refering needing to get home by midnight, to cinderella, where she has to get home by midnight or her carage will turn into a pumpkin.
  • Definition of Motivation- Reasoning for doing something or acting a certain way. In the example, the villagers reason (motivation) to kill the queen is because she killed everyone in the villagers village, inculding their family.
  • Definition of Foreshadowing- An aroma or hint that indicated something will happen later in the story. In the example, one of the invaders says they have a bad feeling about invading, which can foreshadow what happens later in the story.
  • "I have a bad feeling about this"
  • "Oh, stop being a baby we will be fine."
