- Mr. Linden and Carol and her mom meet Mr. Linden at the general store. Mr. Linden tells Carol about his library and Carol now wants to go to his library.
- CLIMAX
- What book are you reading, Mr. Linden?
- Carol goes to Mr. Lindens library and sees him in the window reading a book.
- Falling Action
- Carol goes into Mr. Lindens library and she sees the book Mr. Linden is reading. She reads a page while Mr. Linden is downstairs.
- Resolution
- Hmmm, I guess I will never finish this book. But I just can't stop reading it.
- Mr. Linden warns Carol not to read the book. He said some books are better of not read or even touched.
- Mr. Linden dies. She fins the book Mr. Linden was reading and finds it under his pillow. She reads the same page and it changes every time. She keeps the book as a keepsake
- Carol realizes that she will never finish reading the book. She now cannot stop reading it.
