Carol goes into Mr. Lindens library and she sees the book Mr. Linden is reading. She reads a page while Mr. Linden is downstairs.
Mr. Linden warns Carol not to read the book. He said some books are better of not read or even touched.
Mr. Linden dies. She fins the book Mr. Linden was reading and finds it under his pillow. She reads the same page and it changes every time. She keeps the book as a keepsake
Carol realizes that she will never finish reading the book. She now cannot stop reading it.
