Once upon a time, a girl named Belle wanted the prettiest hair in school. One day, her mom took her to get her hair cut, and the stylist recommended a shampoo for Belle. Belle had seen that shampoo in an advertisement and asked her mom if she could buy it. Her mom warned her that shampoo products can have sodium laureth sulfate (an eye irritant) in them, but Belle just wanted pretty hair, so she didn't care about reading the chemicals of the product. She ended up buying it.
I'm so excited to use this product!
Little did Belle know that the product she was about to use had an insane amount of Sodium Laureth Sulfate
That same evening, Belle wanted to try out her new product and see the transformation on her hair.
I wonder what it smells like. I'll just sniff it
The Shampoo Bottle advertised that it had a beautiful lavender scent
When Belle got in the shower she got a handful of the new shampoo, which was way too much, and she got some in her mouth and nose trying to smell it. Then, while Belle was stroking her hair, the shampoo dripped down her forehead into her eyes. Belle's eyes started to burn and water very badly.
After her shower, Belle quickly changed and read the ingredients in the shampoo she bought. The first chemical on the list was Sodium Laureth Sulfate...
Oh no! I have to throw this away immediately!
The Next day, Belle had to get checked at the eye doctor. Thankfully, Belle's eyes were not too damaged, but she knew to be careful next time.
