- The problem that led to the revolution was that society was divided into three unfair estates. It was unfair because the 3rd estate paid taxes faced starvation and the 1st and 2nd estate had everything they wanted and abused the power they held. Unfairness caused the 3rd estate to rebel.
- The National Assembly:This was an assembly that was held by 3rd estate people to sign the Tennis Court Oath which locked out the powerful estates. During the assembly they issued the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizens.
- I will protect France!
- The storming of the Bastille:This was the first main event that started the revolution. The Bastille was a symbol of power which the people of the 3rd estate stormed because they started to realize they were being treated unfairly. During the riot they searched for weapons.
- The Reign of Terror:This was a time in which thousands of people were sent to the guillotine. During this time there were mass executions of enemies of the Revolution. Also many innocent people died as well. Due to the fact that they were seen as an enemy even though they weren't.
- Results:Napoleon steps into power to restore order after the Revolution. He eliminates the estate system and issues the Napoleonic Code. He helps simplify the laws of France.
