Storyboard Text

  • This is unfair!!
  • Before, The Revolution - 1789 
  • What!! No I already pay taxes now I need to pay more!!
  • So.. since our government is in debt I have to do more taxes
  • Next, Revolution Begins and National Assembly - 1789 
  • As well as, Constitutional Monarchy - 1789-1792 
  • This is chaos!!
  • During this time the first estate was the most powerful out of the 3 estates, so the first estate didn't have to pay taxes, this became a problem to the France government because of the financial side, so King Louis XVI called the General Estates meeting but this resulted into more conflict because of the other estate had to pay for more taxes. This would later create the National Assembly.
  • Then, the First French Republic and the Reign of Terror - 1792-95
  • After, the meeting between the General Estates the tension started to rise. The third estate started a meeting of their called the "National Assembly" at a tennis court where they would discuss their rights of liberty and freedom, also established a limited monarchy.
  • Also, Napoleon and French Empire - 1799-1814
  • Next, the constitution established a limited monarchy which allowed them to make their own laws and could decide whether or not if the go to war, the National Convent would after on start the Reign of Terror.
  • Finally, Congress of Vienna - 1814-1815
  • Then, during the Reign of Terror, it lead to a lot of people being accused of other things that had to do with King Louis XVI, and if they ever went against them, the leader during this was Robespierre he used his power too much. 
  • Later, the Reign of Terror was resolved because of Napoleon who defeated the National Convent and took over France. Later on Napoleon Empire would not last that long as it went downfall.
  • Finally, the Congress of Vienna had a lot of meetings that were known as the "Concert of Europe". Where Metternich would balance power in Europe by meeting by returning power to kings in queens all across Europe, this went very successful and Metternich had 3 rules which stopped fighting for 40 years.
