- King Laius was killed where three roads meet along with his highwaymen. There was only one survivor.
- King Laius and I did have a child, but once we heard of the prophecy, we sent the baby away to be murdered.
- I remember I killed someone where 3 roads meet...
- Oh shoot..
- A messenger from Corinth comes in to inform Oedipus that his Dad died. Meanwhile, Jocasta is starting to connect the dots that Oedipus might actually be her SON.
- Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but Polybus, your dad, is dead.
- Trust me dude, I would know. After all, i am the one who delivered you to him.
- Hold on a minute, Polybus is NOT your biological dad.
- Yikes! Wait a minute, that means that the prophecy can't come true because my dad IS dead. Hooray!
- I think I left the stove on. I'll be right back...
- THIS IS ALL SO EMBARRASSING! How could my son also be my husband! What a great shame I've brought to my city. I must end my life once and for all.
- The truth comes out. Queen Jocasta is filled with shame and embarrassment that she cannot bear to live anymore.
- No one else should have to suffer for MY mistakes I must leave this city! I can not have my actions lead to the downfall of my children too.
- A messenger informs Oedipus of Jocasta's death and he feels immediate guilt and self loath.
