I just happen to notice that the wheat field was empty. What happened?
Ohh. We were just cultivating the land. I aspire to develop it into a vegetable plantation.
What does that mean-‘aspire’?
It means to have an ultimate goal… the deepest, most desperate desires of our hearts. Do you have aspirations too?
I aspire for the wheat field to go back the way it was. The wheat field reminds my fox of me. It means so much to us.
My aspiration of developing this land is entangled with my aspirations of living a simple life and establishing a livelihood to support me. It’s all of my life dreams. If you can justify why your aspiration is more important than mine, I’ll give way and let the wheat grow back.
I guess… yours is more important and have much more meaning.
But then, that doesn’t mean that your aspiration is invalid. It’s just that the world doesn’t revolve around you. You are a part of something bigger than yourself and therefore must take into consideration what’s best for everyone. That's how life works. Do not be selfish.
