Storyboard Text
- "You let go!"
- "I don't want you to yell. You gonnaget me in trouble jus' like George says you will. Now don't you dothat."
- "You crazy bastard. You ain't fit to lick the boots of no rabbit."
- "All the time he coulda had such a goodtime if it wasn't for you. He woulda took his pay an' raised hell ina whore house, and he coulda set in a poolroom an' playedsnooker. But he got to take care of you."
- While the farmworkers were outside playing a horseshoe tournement, Lennie was playing with his puppy in the barn, but he accedently kills it by petting it to rough. Lennie gets sad about the death of the puppy. Curly's wife comes into the barn, and cheers Lennie up by saying that the dog is a mutt and that it's replacible. Learning that Lennie is into soft things Curly's wife offerrs lennie to toutch her hair. Lennie is facinated with the softnes of her hair, but gets his fingers tangled in it. Curly's wife screams when Lennie won't let go which caused Lennie to freak out and shake her so much that he ends up snapping her neck.
- "I got you an."
- "An' I got you. We got each other, that's what, that gives a hoot inhell about us,"
- Candy is the first to notice Curly's wife dead, but instead of telling all the guys, he only tells George. They both know that Lennie killed her but realize that if they tell the rest of the ranch workers, they would look suspicious. George makes a plan to go to the bunck house an steel Carlson's gun, while Candy Anounces to the guys that Curly's wife is dead. Curly is furrious and wants to lynch Lennie. Curly, Slim, and Carlson take horses out to find Lennie. George instead runs to the river where he knows that Lennie is there hiding.
- After Lennie accedently kills Curl's wife, he runs to his and George's hinding spot down by the river where they ate and spent the night the week before. Lennie then has a mental breakdown, and can't control himself. He then starts to hillusinate and imagines his aunt Clara who says that he is worthless. She goes on to tell him how much George's life would be easier without him, and that George is going to leave him. Then Aunt Clara turns into a rabit who says that he is slefish and ignorint and that he couldn't take care of rabbits
- "Come on, George. Me an' you'll goin an' get a drink."
- "Nowwhat the hell ya suppose is eatin' them two guys?"
- When George finds Lennie, he stops hillusinating and the rabbit scuttled back into his brain. George calms Lennie down telling him that he's not leaving him. Lennie confeces that he did somthing worng and Geogre isn't mad about it. George then tells Lennie that he was never mad at Lennie and that they are diffrent then regular ranch workers because they aren't lonely and that they got eachother.
- As Curly near's closer, George tells Lennie to look across the river. George raises the gun to the back of Lennie's head. Lennie then gose on to tell their dream story about their house by living off the fat of the land and tending rabbits. Lennie tells George to buy the land and George agrees saying that he gonna get the house for the 2 of them. George then steadys his hand and shoots the gun at the back of Lennie head peircing his skull.
- George shivered and looked at the gun after euthinizing Lennie, and he threw it from him, back up on the bank. The men crash throught the brush Curly in the front is the first to notice Lennie dead. He is in disbelief when he notices that Lennie was shot in the back of the head. Carlson asks Geogre how he killed Lennie, and George says that he took the gun away from Lennie and shot him. Slim is the only one that knows that Geogre killed Lennie out of mercey. Slim says "Come on, George. Me an' you'll go in an' get a drink." George agrees, and Carlson says to Curly , "Now what the hell ya suppose is eatin' them two guys?"
