- 'Why did my other mother give me this key? I don't trust her...'
- 'I'm so scared. The trapdoor looks so heavy.'
- 'What is that?'
- 'What happened to you dad? What did she do to you?'
- Her other mother has just given her the key for the front flat building. The lighting would be kind of dark, due to how her other mother is feeling. This shot would be taken from behind Coraline.
- Coraline is about to enter the cellar to look for more souls. This is an over the shoulder shot of the scene and Coraline is looking into the pitch-black hole.
- This is when Coraline goes down into the cellar of the building. This is shot from the corner of the cellar and the lighting isn't great. Coraline spots the foot.
- In this storyboard Coraline is talking to her dad. The camera angle would be from the same spot and the lighting would be gloomy.
- Coraline's dad attacks her as she runs up the stairs to get away from the basement. The lighting stay the same al throughout this scene and so do the camera angles.
- Coraline slams the trapdoor shut and runs as fast as she can from her dad. This is a medium length shot and the lighting is a little bit brighter than earlier.
