Benjamin, a 13-year-old boy in Britain, has to put up with British soldiers quartering in his home. This does not last long before the constant watch of soldiers over his home takes its toll on his natural want for freedom and privacy.
Loyalist
Printing
One night, as Benjamin was walking home from working as a stable boy for the British army he saw the Sons of liberty throwing tea overboard in response to the Tea Act. Seeing these men fight back against the British government spurred him to join their group.
Upon discovering the head of the sons of liberty Benjamin wasted no time finding out what he could do to help and to get his own revenge on the British.
Benjamin was given a job as an assistant to a loyalist printer. This Printer however was not actually a loyalist but in fact a patriot. So Benjamin was able to aid the undercover patriot in taking secret letters to important figures or handing them off for someone else to take them.
Benjamin was caught on many occasions carrying letters at late hours. Benjamin being a slightly educated and smart boy came up with an excuse to get out of trouble.
However shortly after being caught for the third time Benjamin left the printing shop to join the continental army at the age of 15 to hopefully meet up with his father who already left for the continental army
