Francisco de Castaneda was sent to retrieve a cannon that Texians refused to surrender. The Texians were able to hide the cannon and won the battle.

General Cos leaves for San Antonio and Collinsworth uses it to his advantage.  Collinsworth and his army attack the fort and Mexican troops surrender.

A mexican had joined the rebels and showed them the way to the fort. The Texians had raided the fort without the Mexicans knowing and were able to win the battle. They made General Cos and his army swear to never return.

This battle lasted 13 days. Day 2 Travis wrote the famous letter ending with "Victory or Death".  Day 8, reinforcements from Gonzales came. constant cannon fire. It was a 90 minute battle.

General Sam Houston and his army including Texians flee east from Gonzales towards the Sabine River to escape from Santa Anna's troops. While running the Texians burn down their homes so the troops don't have feeling of accomplishment.

After a skirmish in Coleto Creek, Fannin surrenders. 350 Texians were marched back to Goliad and massacred in an open field.
