i plead the fifth!
Explanation
The fifth amendment gives the public the right to not answers certain questions in court if they believe it will incriminate them later or if they feel uncomfortable answering the question. While in court someone can say "i plead the fifth" allowing them to have the right to not answer a court question. Sometimes people use it to cover up for a friend or save themselves for answering a question that may make them seem guilty.
