- Hello there. You must be the interviewer from the channel 8 news.
- My name is Watson Lawgic. I've been held in solitary confinement for a little over 30 years.
- I was arrested for 2nd degree murder of my childhood best friend of 25 years.
- I had accidentally shot him while I was doing drugs at the age of 26.
- And on top of that I have schizophrenia and I was off my medication at the time too.
- I found myself in solitary confinement after an incident with one of my fellow inmates.
- I don't remember much but from what I was told I had stabbed one of my neighbors with a plastic fork.
- I got Solitary confinement for a few months but after repeated offenses I'm here until I'm due to be set free.
- As you can see this place is 6 ft by 9 ft of concrete purgatory.
- I lost access to my medical programs and my schizophrenia has gotten far worst without the treatment.
- I spend a total of 23 hours in this tiny cell and one hour outside in another cage, and you are the only visitor I've had since I've been here.
- Lately I've been having some nasty thoughts about harming myself, and after months of convincing the warden to let me see a doctor, and it turns out I have depression and a few symptoms of anxiety.
