- COVID-19 is an airborne disease, means that you can catch the virus by breathing in infected air. When someone with COVID-19 coughs, sneezes.or talks, they spray small droplets into the air. These small droplets contain the virus and it can survive up to 3 hours in the air. They can also land of people or surfaces.
