- The Darkness Before the Dawn
- I was adrift in an ocean of darkness, caught in a storm that seemed unending. Every day was a struggle, every night a battle. Until one day, I stumbled upon something that would change my life forever - the world of flow arts.
- Discovering Fire
- In the depth of my despair, I discovered fire. Not the destructive kind, but the transformative one - the fire of flow arts. The first time I picked up the (wielded) dragon staff, it was like a spark ignited within me. The rhythmic dance, the heat, the mesmerizing flame; it was a perfect metaphor for my journey - born from the ashes, I began to transform.
- Grounded by Earth
- As I delved deeper into flow arts, I was introduced to the element of earth. I learned the art of manipulating the poi and the Earth itself. Through it, I found a sense of stability and balance, a grounding force in the midst of chaos. It was a physical reminder of the world beneath my feet, a symbol of the strength I carried within me.
- Guided by the Wind
- Next, I encountered the wind through the art of staff spinning. It was as if the wind itself was guiding my movements, each swoop and swirl a gust carrying me to new heights. It taught me to let go, to flow with the changing currents of life rather than resisting them. It was a dance of surrender, of embracing the unpredictability of life.
- Soothed by Water
- And then, I discovered the calming effect of water through liquid dancing. The fluid motions, the seamless transitions, it was like being immersed in a gentle stream. It taught me resilience, the ability to adapt and flow no matter the circumstances. It was a dance of healing, a form of therapy that washed away my fears and anxieties.
- Birth of Light Benders Entertainment
- In the dance of these elements, I found a new purpose - to share the magic of flow arts with the world. Along with like-minded souls, Light Benders Entertainment was born. We became the wielders of light, bending it to create mesmerizing performances (showcases). But it was more than just entertainment, it was our mission to illuminate the power of dance and art, to ignite the transformative fire in others.
- Spreading the Light
- Now, I stand not in darkness, but in the brilliance of light. Through Light Benders Entertainment, we conduct workshops, performances, and therapy sessions, spreading the knowledge of flow arts. We use dance and art as a form of therapy, helping others navigate their own storms and find their inner light.
- The Journey Continues
- The journey through the elements has changed me. It has brought me out of the darkness and into the light. And now, my journey has become a beacon for others, a testament to the transformative power of flow arts. As I continue to bend light, I am reminded of the spark that ignited within me. A spark that has now become a flame, a flame that continues to grow and spread light in the darkness. From darkness to light, from despair to hope, this is my story. This is the journey of a Light Bender.
