  • EXPOSITION
  • CONFLICT
  • RISING ACTION
  • At the North Pole, Victor Frankenstein is discovered chasing a monster. Captain Walton is on a research mission when he encounters him. Victor informs him about his life
  • CLIMAX
  • Frankenstein figured out how to make things come to life. He put together a "monster" that came to life using body bits he found at a cemetery. When he saw his creation, he fled in terror, abandoning it. As a result, the creature was left to fend for himself.
  • FALLING ACTION
  • The monster was looking for love and companionship. However, because of his horrible appearance, he was only met with rejection. Bitter and hurt, the monster sought out his creator in order to exact vengeance.
  • RESOLUTION
  • Following the assassination of Frankenstein's younger brother, William, the monster forces Frankenstein to marry him. When Victor betrays his word, the monster kills Clerval, Victor's buddy, and subsequently Elizabeth, Victor's wife.
  • Frankenstein pursues the monster north in vengeance. This is when he meets Walton and his group. He dies after telling the crew this incredible account.
  • The monster pays his respects and informs Walton that he plans to commit himself by putting himself on fire. Walton eventually abandons his mission, partly due to the moral of the story: some scientific discoveries are not worth the price.
