  • After the French and Indian war Britin lost a lot of money. To get the money back they began to tax the colonist.
  • Boston Tea Party
  • The stamp act was when colonist were taxed on paper. Back then writing letters was their only source of communication. this made the colonist very upset.
  • No taxation Without representation
  • The tea act was when taxes were put on tea. The Colonist were very angry with the king. Not only were there taxes on tea Britin was sending over cheap tea which the Colonist did not like.
  • Declaration of Indepedance
  • The Boston tea party was when the colonist dressed up as native Americans and thew tea off of the Boston Harbor. They did this to show Britin that they would not put up with taxes.
  • Was a slogan that the colonist made to show Britin that any taxes such as the stamp act, tea act, and Townshend acts unconstitutional and took away there rights.

  • The Declaration of Independence was a document signed by the second continental congress asking for freedom from Britin.
