Signal no. 2 has been raised in Pangasinan friday evening as typhoon "Omphong"
What should we do as the water level rises? We need to elevate the equipment so that the flood do not reach it.
The flood increased after two days of heavy rain.
We don't have electricity because of the rising flood, so we gather our pets and relocate them to a higher location where they will not be affected by the flood. We also have a limited supply of food and water because we are unable to go to the store due to the heavy rain and flooding.
The rain hasn't stopped for a week, and the flood has nearly reached the second floor of the house. We can't go to market because the flood is up to head height and vehicles can't pass.
Fortunately, no other damage occurred to us other than the flood.
We are still fortunate that my grandfather catches a lot of fish during that time, and every time the rain stops, my grandmother sells those fish at the market.
They use boats to to go across town because the roads are flooded. The flood lasted nearly a month. For us to survive, my grandmother always sells a fish at the market and buys our other necessities while there.
